Hello Hydrogen Campaign Director Angela Needle discusses the role that hydrogen can play in heating our homes in the future.

Last week Angela spoke with Ian King on Sky News about the launch of the Hello Hydrogen campaign and the aim to provide information about hydrogen and its role in providing customers with a choice on how to heat their homes in the future.

Throughout the conversation Angie noted the importance on educating early, so that consumers are aware of their options and we are able to avoid reliance on energy imported from abroad.

“What we’re looking at in the future is a mixed system that gives customers choice. Some will have heat pumps; some will have hydrogen. It’s not one thing or another. But the gas networks, the boiler manufacturers and the suppliers of energy are looking at hydrogen because we want to make sure that everybody has got access to a warm home in the future.”
